The sacred Banee of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib has guided the Khalsa for the last 300 years and is part and parcel of the Sikh psyche. Sri Dasam Granth of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib is the second most respected scripture of the Sikhs after Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. In addition of being the source of the Banees of Sikh Baptism (Amrit Sanchar), Daily Prayer (Nitnem) and Ardas, Sri Dasam Granth Sahib is also the only source from where the terminologies, phrases and concepts of the Khalsa are derived. Some prominent examples are, 'Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh', 'Deg Teg Fateh', 'Bipran Ki Reet', 'Panth', 'Khalsa', 'Khanda', 'Kirpan', 'Sarab-loh', 'Dharam-Yudh' etc.
Recently there have been some theories that are being peddled that the Banee of the Tenth Guru is actually the creation of the British. This conspiracy theory was first propagated by one Dr Jasbir Singh Mann, a self acclaimed scholar of Sri Dasam Granth. Concocting this fake theory he claimed that Sri Dasam Granth was made by Mahants of Patna, Nirmalas and the British. This mixture of fiction and fantasy has been the most absurd theory on Sikh history.

Gurfateh
He asks that why is Term Shri Dasham Granth not mentioned in Sikh Rahit Maryada ?Answer: we find that Bani of Bhai Gurdas Ji and Bhai Nand Lal Singh Ji mentioned and being told to be ricited in Gurdwaras.
Does term Kabbit of Bhai Gurdas or Vars of Bhai Gurdas figure there or does terms Jindaginammah or Bandagi Nammah are mentioned there which are work of Bhai Nand Lal Singh Ji ?
As thier Bani is included in more then one source so thier Bani is mentioned as a whole and not the each sources. In the same way Bani ofTenth Master is not only found in Shri Dasham Granth Sahib but also in Shri Sarbloh Granth Sahib and Rahitnammahs also. Such Bani is recited in Gurdwaras.
When we talk of Bani of Ten Gurus, do we have Bani of any other Guru beside Tenth Master, outside Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji ?
Answer. As we are aware that Tenth Master never used pen name "Nanak". there is a verse which is having term Nanak and is not included in Shri Guru Granth Sahib, yet this verse finds place in Sikh Rahit Maryada and is the last part of Ardas. Nanak Nam Chardi Kala Tere Bhane Sarbat Da Bhala.
Nanak Panthi Kavya. In realtiy either Dr Mann himself does not know Nagri script or are using deception. In Nagri for abrrivation like '.' in English/roman we use 'o'. Actualy there is no term like Kavya, it is written as Nanakpanthi Ka. Ja. of Nagari which are represented as to k.j. of romen.

The biggest damage done to sikh scriptures is by Dr Jasbir Singh Mann. This pseudo scholar has no knowledge about sikhism , does not lead a gurmukh's life, has no connection to sikh history.
Yet he is maintaining a website to mislead ignorants about Dasam grannth sahib by forwarding false theories. It is time this man is exposed and challenged. His actions should be brought to attention of akal takhat as he is a Gurnindak. His name finds place in dr Harbhajan singh's new book as he tried to bribe him for writing against Dasam granth sahib.

When will these psuedo-scholars stop! "Dr." Jasbir Mann, Gurcharan Brar Jeonwala, Inder Ghagga, Charanjit Bal, and many others with bogus articles. All of them have been easily exposed time and time again yet articles continue to be published.
